Except the size... because we are talking about one of the smallest campsites in the Ardèche.
This campsite in Pont d'Arc with 40 pitches has some advantages that will surprise many campers. Our campsite is located in Vallon Pont d'Arc, at the foot of the ruins of the Château du Chastelas and on the edge of the GR 4 - a famous hiking trail - on a slope with landscaped terraces and stone piles. It has a swimming pool, chalets, wooden cabins, children's playgrounds....

Its strengths: First of all, the peace and quiet, the great tranquillity, far from the roads.
It's a dead end here. Then there is the soothing shade gained from the large trees that have been planted there for many years. Then there is the breathtaking view of the cliffs and forests along the Ardèche. The visit ends with a southern exposure, where the sun terrace over the pool finds its place and interest.

As with any campsite, there is a snack bar, a small bar and well-supervised outdoor activities with certified providers. There are partnerships like the one with the canoe rental L'Arche de Noé, just a 5-minute walk away.... Just like the big ones, there's a show area with stage, sound and lighting effects so you can enjoy the wonderful evenings with animation. The quality label awarded to Camping du Vieux Vallon includes a very extensive set of specifications that had to be met by presenting what was already there or by building new ones.
