Camping Domaine de Mesqueau is a friendly family campsite in Plougasnou, in the middle of the beautiful nature of Brittany. The campsite is situated on the edge of a pond, the beaches and the sea are about 5 kilometres away.
There is a relaxed atmosphere at the campsite, which makes you feel very comfortable. There is an outdoor and an indoor swimming pool. In high season there is an entertainment team that organises all kinds of things, such as sports tournaments and children's entertainment. The little ones can enjoy themselves in the mini-club or at the very nice playground. Table tennis and minigolf are also available.
You could make very nice day trips to Morlaix, for example, with its medieval houses and the impressive aqueduct, or go to the Océanopolis near Brest.A visit to the Taureau Castle is also a very nice experience.
The campsite is well equipped, but the snack bar (outside the fenced area) is open year round, and only closed on Monday. It serves hot and cold drinks (including wine and beer) and food throughout the day. The walking trails around the lake lead you back to its door and the parking lot.

Good value for money, toilets are average. Staff are helpful, they left the gate open for us so we could get out early, and they spoke very good english! The site is flat and it is easy to get into the pitches. Don't forget to take a torch- it gets very dark!!

The site is a little off the beaten track yet easy to find and is very peaceful within its natural surroundings. Touring pitches were level and grassy, some in shade and a few in full sun. I got the impression that the site had yet to be finished. The pitches seemed to be a bit random and not a great deal of thought to layout or delineation. The path/road ways were un-made loose gravel chippings. But the real disappointment were the toilet & shower facilities. These were located and the far end of the site and were a bit of a trek for nothing special. OK, clean and basic but ...... dotted around the campsite were ........ PORTALOOS!!!! Yuk!! Not impressed! A nice site and location but lacking attention to detail. Would not stop here for more than one night. A shame, because the staff were great and the location was good!
