Camping Les Chambons is a well maintained 3-star campsite, centrally located in Argenton in the department of Indre. The campsite is in a beautiful location on the banks of the Creuse and offers large shady pitches.

The region has a lot to offer. For example, visit the Gallo-Roman museum of Argentomagus or the museum of chemistry. Camping Les Chambons is also an excellent starting point to discover the Parc naturel Régional de la Brenne. This park is located northwest of Argenton and is known for its many landscaped fish ponds. The whole area covers about 1700 square kilometres and you will find no less than 1200 lakes!

We stayed for 2 nights in June 2019. The site was easy walking distance to Argenton-Sur-Creuse and the Roman ruins. Not all pitches have electricity and some are sloping so chocks maybe needed. We stayed for one night en route to the South. A warm welcome and told we could pitch anywhere. Lovely choice of shady, flat grassy pitches, some on the edge of the river. Nice clean shady campsite just off the A20 after Chateauroux. Stayed here on the way to the South coast after driving from Caen. Very friendly lady running the site and clean toilets and showers.
