Camping La Ferme des Aulnes

Camping La Ferme des Aulnes is located in a quiet and rural setting in Picardy and is built around a traditional, restored farmhouse. The Atlantic Ocean is not far away, so this is also a beautiful place for sea and beach lovers. It takes about twenty minutes by car to reach the coast where you will also find a lot of fish restaurants and terraces. For swimming you don't only have to go to the beach because on the campsite you will find a semi covered swimming pool. Depending on the weather conditions, the roof will be open or closed. You can also enjoy the sauna and whirlpool. In high season there are all kinds of activities organized on the campsite including a children's club for the little ones. There is a grocery shop but if you want to go to "a real supermarket" the place Rue is about 10 minutes drive from the campsite. It's also nice to have a look around because there's a beautiful church and on Saturdays there's a market. The area is perfect for cycling and for fishing enthusiasts (not to eat but to catch) there is a beautiful fishing pond about three kilometers from the campsite where camping guests can throw out a fishing rod for free. If you are going to cycle, do so along the river Authie and cycle in the direction of the Abbey of Valloires. Also recommended for garden lovers because around the Abbey you'll find many acres of rare trees and plants. A few nice (bath) places to visit are Wimereux, Le Touquet, Valery sur Somme and Le Crotoy. There are also large cemeteries in the area with fallen soldiers from World War I, La Grande Guerre for the French. Impressive to visit.
