Look forward to a luxury campsite near Souillac in the heart of south-west France. Camping de la Paille Basse is quietly located in the middle of a large wooded area on a hill. The 5-star campsite awaits you and your family with a swimming and play area with slide. Four of you can go down the slide side by side! The three fully restored historic barns create a special atmosphere. They house service facilities. Young and old have fun playing beach volleyball or hiking in the forest. On the way, there are always wonderful panoramic views.

Varied leisure activities, active recreation and enjoyment

For little horse lovers, pony rides take place seasonally at Camping de la Paille Basse. Young racers will enjoy mini-motorbike rides. In the high season, the Camping de la Paille Basse team organises a variety of entertainment for children and adults. Atmospheric evening events round off the camping holiday almost perfectly. Before that, you can fortify yourself in the restaurant with its large outdoor area. Here you can choose to enjoy yourself in the shade or in the sun. Or you can buy regional specialities such as wines or walnut oil in the rustic camping shop for connoisseurs. Whether castles, fortresses, old towns, rocky landscapes, stalactite grottos and cave paintings - on excursions you will discover the highlights of the Lot, Dordogne and Corrèze regions.

Whilst I have listed some comments for recommendation, we did enjoy our visit. We had recently travelled from another 5 star site which was a lot smaller, but was far more modern and clean in comparison.

This was our 3rd visit to the site, camping in our own tent for 2 weeks. Each time we have visited we have thoroughly enjoyed it. The staff are friendly and helpful, the site is well maintained.
