Camping de Meibeek
In the village of Ruurlo, in the middle of the Achterhoek, lies Camping de Meibeek. The campsite is situated between meadows and farms, where it is wonderful to relax and enjoy.
This unique place can be reached via a sandy path along a stream, so the hustle and bustle of the city seems far away. The spacious campsite is surrounded by lots of greenery, a cosy terrace, an attractive restaurant and, last but not least, the hospitality of the campsite owners. All these aspects contribute to the friendly, typical Achterhoek atmosphere.
Experiences at Camping de Meibeek
Camping de Meibeek is equipped with all modern amenities. The buildings are energy efficient and since 2013 there is a heated, modern toilet block on the campsite. In addition to the normal facilities, there are also disabled and private sanitary facilities. There is also a children's section, especially for the little ones.
Children can let off steam here, as the campsite has a heated outdoor swimming pool, a playground with an impressive tree house and even a petting zoo.
The petting zoo
In the petting zoo you will find various animals, such as a donkey, a goat, three reindeer and two ponies. There are also smaller animals, such as rabbits, guinea pigs and chickens. At the nearby De Kooi stable, you can book riding lessons for horses and ponies. Your own horses can also be stabled here during your stay at the campsite.
You leave your own rabbit or guinea pig at home when you go on holiday? Absolutely not! The campsite has a pet hotel where you can keep your rodent. This way the whole family can enjoy their holiday.
The surroundings of the campsite
Would you rather go out? On foot, by bike or in a canoe you can enjoy the varied landscape of the Achterhoek to the full. Enjoy the beautiful nature and the animals that live in it. Who knows, maybe you will meet a pair of deer!
