Weird and crouded, no intimacy - they should higher fiew gardeners, looks grey and not taken care of

Had the cottage Premium with 3 bedrooms, tropical shower and plancha on the terrasse. Great first family trip to France

We booked through canvas and got a very good deal which we realised once we were there was because everything starts to close down on the 1st September which was mid way through our stay! We hadn’t realised until we enquired about going on the zip wires on Tuesday and we were told they closed on Sunday (the day after we arrived) thankfully there was a bigger place like go ape down the road they told us about but they failed to tell us this closed on 31st aug too 🤦🏼‍♀️ thankfully we managed to go on the last day of opening and had a fantastic time. Would highly recommend this. There were other places a nice big kids attraction 5 mins away that again closed so we didn’t get to find out but it will be one for next time. Everything I looked at seemed to be closed. The swimming pool opening times also shortened by an hour in the morning and evening which we weren’t told about until we were kicked out of the pool an hour before we expected (the opening times hadn’t been changed on the display board). We didn’t go to any of the entertainment as assumed it would be in French so can’t comment on that. There seemed to be quite a good programme if that’s your sort of thing. The pool was great but I would be nice if there was a smaller slide or a few other things for toddlers (we didn’t have a toddler but if we had gone a few years before we would have found the pool a bit poor for that age) . Like others have said the health and safety and number of lifeguards seemed a bit relaxed but I just put that down to the U.K. being a bit over the top and France being a bit more relaxed. There was 1 lifeguard or 2 and some pools not supervised. The floor in the indoor area where the toilets were were completely wet and a huge slip hazard but then again I’m just used to lifeguards continually sweeping water away in the U.K. the caravan didn’t have an oven which I’m not sure if it was mentioned or not when booking I had just assumed it had one as thought it was a basic requirement. We managed without but would have been nice to have one as meals were more limited without. The caravan was lovely and clean and the most comfortable beds we’ve had in a caravan ever. The decking was nice and stocked with an airer and table and chairs plus lounger chairs. The caravans were packed in close together but they all had a bushy sort of fencing around them all so although they were close it still felt very private. The shop was really well stocked and had decent opening times until that all seemed to go to pot on the 1st September. The crazy golf was good and only a deposit was required. The playarea was basic but had a bouncy castle so was ok . Did drive past a massive playarea somewhere in Carnac but we didn’t try it out. Had great fun hiring a big family bike in Carnac. And the beaches are beautiful. Would definitely like to return as there was too much to do and not enough time!
