A holiday at EuroParcs Buitenhuizen means a holiday by the water with lots of ideas for activities and excursions. Children can climb, swing and slide in the playground and meet new holiday friends. Active guests can let off steam at table tennis or football. Anglers can relax by the water. If you want to pitch and putt - one of the largest golf courses in the Netherlands is nearby.
During the summer months, the park also organises a cheerful children's entertainment with games, painting and craft sessions. Sport and pure relaxation are offered by the fitness and wellness area - with a weight room, Finnish sauna, steam bath and heat cabin. Guests can explore the surrounding forest and meadow areas with rental bikes, e-bikes or e-choppers. In the dune-rich Zuid-Kennemerland National Park, fallow deer, shaggy highland cattle or semi-wild Konik horses can be observed. If you want to enjoy "lekker koffie", cake, a locally brewed "Biertje", juicy steaks or saté barbecue skewers, stop by the Herberg 1883. The restaurant welcomes guests in a lovingly renovated North-Holland farmhouse.
In about half an hour, holidaymakers can be in Amsterdam, where they can take a canal tour, visit the Anne Frank House or Rembrandt's masterpieces in the Rijksmuseum. Families also look forward to the Artis Zoo, the museum ships or the NEMO Science Centre at the harbour. Haarlem and the North Sea beaches of Zaandvoort and other seaside resorts are also within easy reach. By car or bicycle, you can go from the EuroParcs Buitenhuizen holiday park in Velsen-Zuid to IJmuiden. Here, the world's largest sea lock, over 500 metres long, was recently opened for the ocean giants.
