Camping de la Porte d'Arroux is a beautiful, quiet and green campsite in Burgundy. The campsite is situated at a river, so there are plenty of opportunities for leisure activities. In the high season there is a children's club for children aged 4 - 12, where fun activities are organised once or twice a week. The children will also find a playground with a slide and a table tennis table at the campsite to play at. Pets are welcome at Camping Porte d'Arroux. Not far away is the historic city of Autun, a city with a rich history dating back to Roman times. Very interesting places to visit are for example the city gates of Arroux and Saint-André, the Roman theatre (the largest theatre in Roman Gaul) and the Plan d'Eau du Vallon.

A very welcoming and friendly site. Their English was great and the facilities were clean and tidy. There is a river next to the site which is great to cool down in. Excellent campsite in beautiful area. Well equipped site with good views over the countryside. Good value for money and good facilities. Lots to look at in the area with lots of history. Good restaurants.

Googled for a site in this area and found this one. Easy to book on line and easy to find. We received a lovely friendly welcome and the friendliness continued for the whole stay. There is a bar on site which opened at 6pm or a bit earlier every evening. Some pitches get more sun than others. L...show more
