Camping de Tauves

The Tauves campsite is located at the foot of the Sancy massif in Auvergne. In high season, guests of this well-maintained campsite can use the adjacent urban multi-sports ground where football, basketball and volleyball are played. Les Aurandeis is an excellent starting point to explore the beautiful surroundings with waterfalls, lakes, forests and castles. Also nice: In nearby Tauves, there is a market on Thursday morning where regional products are sold. Don't forget your hiking boots, because it is wonderful to walk through the Sancy massif and the gorges of Avèze. You can also follow a marked path at the campsite, which is an average route. The Parc Naturel Régional des Volcans d'Auvergne is a hilly region with eighty old volcanoes. The most famous and largest is undoubtedly the Puy de Dôme. You can climb the summit in about 45 minutes, or if you don't want to hike, you can take the train, which will take you to the top in about 20 minutes!
