Campsites at the sea

Campsites at the sea

Bathing, splashing in the waves, collecting shells, snorkelling or netting, building sandcastles, playing ball or frisbee and flying a stunt kite... Or simply walking barefoot, enjoying the sun and a fresh breeze... That's how a holiday could be really good, right? A holiday by the water - that's the most important thing for many parents and their children. So it's no surprise that many campsites are located on the beach or near the sea. Whether on the wide sandy beaches of the North Sea, the Baltic Sea, the French or Spanish Mediterranean coast, whether on the Atlantic or the Adriatic, where in Italy and Croatia sandy and pebble beaches alternate... the choice of campsites on the beach is large. Those who prefer to camp inland to enjoy a little more idyll and excursion possibilities do not have to do without the beach either.

Because many campsites are located on inland lakes

Some beach campsites are even located on rivers, offering sheltered bathing bays with a small river beach. You can often rent canoes or kayaks to explore the river valley. Some campsites with a beach even offer their guests double and especially safe beach fun: they not only have an often guarded sandy beach at the bathing lake or at the nearby sea - but also a pool lagoon with a real sandy beach! And even when playing sports on your camping holiday, you don't have to do without that beach feeling. You can play beach volleyball in the soft sand almost anywhere - and there are often beach soccer goals available. If the beach is also an Eldorado for kite- and windsurfers or beach sailors, or if catamarans take off from there, swimming is usually safely separated. Of course, afterwards you can go to the beach bar for an ice cream or a cool drink... Here at CampGo you will find many campsites that are directly on the beach or the sea. And if not, it's often only a few hundred metres on foot, with a trolley or (rental) bike. In high season, large coastal campsites often offer free shuttles to the beach.
